Mouth-watering Memoir

My paternal grandmother, Lucena Ravelo Lacho used to say, "Candy, I'm happy. You know, I just live the simple life..." It's true, if we are happy with what we have, we see the beauty in its simplicity. I miss her so much... I love her so much more.

CoL:Day 26-32

Now I'm the one who's sick with another one of my children sick also and has a broken pinky. Yikes! So now, instead of eating well and healthy, I haven't had much appetite! Plus, last night, our neighbor, though gave us a warning, partied with loud music from 10PM to 3AM! Oooohhh, my migraine.... plus I had to bring down the fever of my now sick child. Man, why can't they just make these journeys easy? LOL

Though to my credit, we moved a lot! patio cleaning, gardening, sweeping, reorganizing, fridge cleanout and sorting and walking and swimming so at least I'm losing weight that way.

I'm also getting into baking, so I'm using my arms a lot in mixing and keeping things steady and reaching up. (Does that count? I hope so...) ;-)

Til next time... (I hope...)

CoL: Day 17-25

Still not getting enough time to focus on eating right but then again who can with 2 sick kids?

I'm hopeful though, very hopeful... (can you see my crossed fingers?)

Activity: Walked a lot in doing errands and getting my dinnerware fix. Sometimes, just looking helps so much in getting great ideas!

CoL: Day 6-17

Sorry about the lack of discipline it would seem but between my graduation, hubby's Apprentice Program graduation, School concerts, trips and last minute errands, eating healthy much less tracking has been difficult.

I should be back on track tomorrow...

Hopefully... It is Memorial Day and we're barbecuing!

Ok, ok... I'll be good!

I Can Stand To Lose a Few...

I guess as Spring comes, it is more apparent that weight loss is at the top of the agenda list for most people. Since I belong to this global conspiracy called human race, I might as jump into the band wagon and lose a few, (ahem) 20 lbs!

Starting today! (Did I really just think that?!)

Oh, well... I can do this right? I took a semester of Food and Nutrition class and I've reaped the benefits in how I feed my children. They would gladly tell you, "We're still alive!" So that must mean I'm doing good right? ;-)
